SAT I

SAT(Scholastic Aptitude Test) is an aptitude test for American high school students and a requisite for admission into American universities. The test consists of verbal (800 points), math (800 points), and writing (800 points, added in 2005) sections, for a maximum score of 2,400 points. The writing section is divided into essay-writing and multiple-choice grammar questions. Thus, in essence, the students who are preparing to take SAT are required to study four different subjects.

SAT is held in higher regard than TOEFL as an official assessment of a student’s English skills and is accepted by Ehwa University, Yonsei University, and other leading Korean universities.
